Bedtime Prayer

The girls both say a little prayer before they go to bed. Gwen generally likes to say the Lords Prayer and Annabelle like to thank God for socks. It's true. Tonight was a little different. It was Annabelle's turn to go first, so she begins with thank you for the things you gave us, and especially for the things you didn't give us. Hmmm does she know something I don't about the things that God hasn't given us? Does she have a direct line with God, cause if so, I need her to take a message. Then she says, "Thank you Lord for your son-in-law, Jesus." Yep. That's what she said. I couldn't keep it together, I laughed. It was hilarious. If you know Annabelle you know that she is very matter of fact, and I don't think at that moment I could have convinced her that Jesus was God's son, not son-in-law. Then at the end she says, "But most of all, thank you for the kids that mommy had, after she was married." Amen. :)
THEN, it's finally Gwen's turn to pray. She starts off her Lords Prayer, and half way into it, Annabelle looks at her and says, " Gwen, don't do that. Pray for something particular." Wow. Annabelle won't be attending prayer meetings anytime soon...
